Come And See - 2026 Vacation Bible Camp Recap
Dear Saints,
”For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.” John 6:40
We give God thanks for the many blessings He afforded us while we were at Vacation Bible Camp last week. Our theme was "Come and See," and each day of the week we looked at what it meant to draw closer to the Lord Jesus.
We had 227 campers, almost identical to how many registered last year but still short of our pre-pandemic numbers. It was encouraging to see saints come from Florida and as far as Switzerland to enjoy the week together. We thank the Lord for our counselors who were from California, Oregon, North Carolina, Illinois, New Jersey, Ohio, Canada, and Germany. Their service as unto the Lord was of great help to the camp.
Our outreach continues to young people who need to be saved. We had about 40 who were from 2 different community programs. On the last evening, a few who had been saved invited their families to witness them being baptized. Some stayed for the program and gospel meeting which followed. At least 11 young people were saved during the week and 7 were baptized on our final evening together. Please continue to pray for these young people, that they might walk closely with the Lord each day.
We thank the Lord for the help He provided through so many who served before and during the week. Saints of all ages were encouraged and built up in their faith. We appreciate so many who prayed and many who helped to meet the practical needs. Most of the needs were met; others who are exercised to give, please see gtcamps.org.
If you've never been to Bible camp yourself or if your kids haven't been, we encourage you to take the opportunity to join us next year, in the will of the Lord.
