2023 VBC Post-camp Update

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

We give thanks to the Lord for the blessings He poured out on us at Pine Valley this year!  About 230 campers attended, 30 of those were part-time.  Most of the part-timers were a group of about 20 (mostly young people) who were headed to another Bible camp when the facility they were going to told them not to come because of an illness that had spread.  Thank the Lord that there was an open door for them to join us!  The 29 counselors who served for the week were from meetings across the United States and Canada; their help was tremendous.  There were 42 first time campers and we give thanks to God for hearts who were exercised to attend.  

The theme of the camp was the Word of God, Psalm 119:105, and how important this is for young and old to understand more and more to stand and rest on what God has said.  We rejoiced with heaven as 7 young people received the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior!  Seeing a heart turn to Christ is the best thing that happens all year.  On the last night of camp, 4 young people were baptized.  Several others stayed behind after various messages through the week to be assured of their salvation.  Please pray for all of these, that they might be found daily following the Lord Jesus more closely.  Many other needs presented themselves through the week and we thank God for godly counsel that was provided.  Many are the needs among us, but God is able to meet each one.  Please pray for much needed shepherding.

Should the Lord Jesus tarry, the 2024 dates for Vacation Bible Camp at Pine Valley will be July 14-19.  Consider this your first invitation to join us!  Lastly, we thank the Lord for those who prayed for and sent gifts to help with the practical needs of the camp.  We thank the Lord for meeting that need and we continue to trust Him for help as we work with the new camp management.
