Discussion Questions for Session Three

1. Read Matthew 16:24. What does it mean to deny oneself? How is this applied or lived out practically?

2. Read Luke 14:26. What is meant by hate? What is the consequence for a Christian who has does not know how to hate his own life?

3. Why does the Lord Jesus instruct believers to "take up his/her cross" or "bear his/her cross"? What is hindering you and me from taking up our cross by faith in Christ?

4. What does it mean to follow the Lord Jesus Christ? List everything that this entails.

5. Are you prepared to forsake all including everything associated with the flesh for the Lord?
